Reid’s ONE!

December 17, 2008

I had the honor of taking Reid’s one year pictures!  Reid’s mommy, Kara, is a good friend of one of my best friends, Amber.  We met at Amber’s little girl’s first birthday party.  Since the party, Reid’s family has moved, but came back to Houston for Christmas.  We met up at Kara’s parents’ house and instead of taking the entire session outside (which I usually do), we decided to take most of the pictures inside…It was just too cold to have the little guy outside without a coat!  Reid did SO good…But I have to tell you that he WOULDN’T crack a smile!  At one point, his parents and grandparents were all jumping around behind me, trying so hard to make him smile…And he just looked at us like we were crazy!  He may not have thought we were amusing, but I sure had fun watching them try!!!  🙂  And finally, at the end, something stuck him VERY funny and he started making the cutest, most excited face!  🙂

We got lots of great pictures, but here a few for now…So many more to edit!

Kara, I hope you love them as much as I do!  You sure have one cute little boy!  🙂

Merry Christmas!

December 15, 2008

Sooo…I haven’t been good about posting lately.  Let’s blame it on the holidays…Such a busy time of year.  (But really, it’s tough for me to post at all, any time of year!)

Today, my mom and dad came over and we attempted to take Christmas pictures.  For those of you that know me, I really DO NOT like to be on the other side of the camera!  I make every excuse in the book…BUT it is Christmas and we haven’t taken pictures together at all this year…So I figured this was as good as time as any!

WELL…Out of them all, here are a few that turned out OKAY!  At least one of boys, if not both, threw a fit the entire time!  We wanted to wear winterish closthes and it turned out to be one of the hottest days this month!  And I had a few outfits, but we were all done before we even started…Needless to say, we never made it out of the first outfit!  So, I think we’ll try again, but maybe not until after the first of the year.  For now, here are a few.

(You have to know that we have spent the last hour BELLY laughing at ourselves…Aging STINKS!  A few more wrinkles, a little less hair!)

When we said “smile,” this was the face Karson would make!

And Kole hiding behind his blanket…

My gorgeous husband!

And this is just one example of how most of our pictures turned out!  Only one of us actually looking at the camera…And only one boy at a time ready for the picture!

May God bless your family and your time together during this holiday season.

And from our family to yours, Merry Christmas!

R u giving me the stink eye?

December 8, 2008

Kole used to make this face ALL the time at my mom.  And one day, she asked him, “Are you giving me the stink eye?”  So now he goes around giving us the “stink eye” all of the time!
